Tempest 2 by MadHeaters. The Tempest 2 is a portable torch or induction heater powered vaporizer. This thermal extraction device arrives with zirconia balls loaded int he cap of the unit. The combination of the adjustable airflow and zirconia balls set this thermal extraction device apart from some of the others.

Some Wand induction heaters may have an opening too narrow to be compatible with the Tempest 2. Ensure your Wand has an opening of at least 14.0 mm. If necessary, use glass sanding paper to carefully widen it. If there is no wiggle room, do not attempt to use it, as the glass may break during heating.

Should I use a torch or induction to heat the Tempest 2 vaporizer?
Which heating method is better is a matter of preference. Many prefer to heat the Tempest 2 using a torch because it’s faster, allows for more control over how it’s heated, and it doesn’t require a power source. Many prefer heating the Tempest 2 using induction because it’s more consistent, there’s less of a learning curve, and there’s no need to repurchase butane. If you do choose to use an induction heater, always ensure compatibility. The wand needs an opening of at least 14.0mm. We recommend checking out the iSpire Wand and the YLL 3.90.
What is the difference between the Tempest and Tempest 2 vaporizers?
The Tempest 2 portable ball vaporizer is an upgrade of the original Tempest. This pocket friendly vape features an increased bowl size with a new screen which can be repositioned to adjust the size of the bowl as needed. The thicker induction sleeve offers better heat retention for an overall better performance and the enhanced heat distribution allows for more even extractions. The Tempest 2 also introduced a twist-to-lock ball screen, easier indicator assembly, and a green visual indicator pointer on all of the caps.
Is the Tempest 2 vaporizer beginner friendly?
Yes, the tempest 2 is incredibly approachable with a simple-to-use design. Some users may find that using a torch to heat up the Tempest 2 has a bit of a learning curve when it comes to figuring out the technique, but induction heaters help to take the guess work out if you prefer. It is important to note, for new users, that this pocket-friendly portable ball vaporizer may look small but does provide a powerful desktop vaporizer style performance.
How do I clean the Tempest 2 vaporizer?
Regular cleaning maintenance for the Tempest 2 is easy. You can spray isopropyl alcohol onto the cooling spiral while holding a paper towel under it and wipe off the spirals with a twisting motion. Use a Q-Tip soaked in isopropyl alcohol to clean the inside of the sleeve and the bowl screen from below.
Are there any accessories that I should consider getting for my Tempest 2 vaporizer?
The Tempest 2 includes the vaporizer, 3mm zirconia balls which are pre-stalled in the Head’s thermal matrix, a medium sized cooling unit, spare o-rings, 3 bowl screens, 2 ball screens, a cleaning tool and tube for setting the bowl screen position, a small screw, extra zirconia balls, and a replacement click disc. You will need either a torch and butane or an induction heater to get started. We recommend the iSpire Wand and the YLL 3.90 for induction heating.
