Shipping policy
General Shipping Information
- Carriers: We mostly use USPS, but we may upgrade or change carriers to speed up transit.
- Free Shipping: Available on USA orders over $75.
- Discreet Packaging: We use plain brown or white boxes, or standard USPS supplies. The sender name will always appear as HOTH.
- Processing Time: Our goal is to ship your order the same day if placed by noon Eastern. Most orders ship within 24 hours on business days (Monday through Friday). We often operate on Saturday but please don't count on it.
- Exceptions: Dropship items can take extra time to ship. We don’t dropship many items, mainly Stündenglass and The Club. There may be other items in the shop that are dropshipped at a limited basis. Please email sales@vgoodiez.com before you order if shipping timeline is paramount! We will provide you the best recommendation and estimate.
Delivery Estimates and Delays
- Estimates Only: Shipping speeds at checkout are estimates, not guarantees.
- Delays: Weather, seasonal sales, and carrier issues are out of our control. We use a shipping broker that offers significant discount under list rates. But with that in the case of late deliveries, we cannot offer refunds on shipping costs.
- Overnight Shipping: We do not recommend paying for overnight shipping, as carrier reliability has decreased. We do not offer any refunds for delayed packages.
- Weekends: Saturday delivery is not standard. It requires prior approval (email sales@vgoodiez.com) and carries an extra fee of $20 or more collected by the carrier.
Missing, Stalled, or Damaged Orders
- Stalled Tracking: We handle each case individually and work to get the carriers involved to support. We get mixed results here so please be patient.
- Missing but Delivered: Report this to us within 48 hours of the package being marked delivered. Please let us handle it and do not contact the carrier directly.
- Broken Glass: Must be reported to us within 48 hours of delivery. We cannot replace glass that is broken during use.
Seel Shipping Protection
We highly recommend adding optional Seel worry-free shipping at checkout to cover lost, stolen, or damaged packages. This streamlines the replacement process and helps mitigate risks for our small business. Customers needing to file a claim can do so through Seel or reach out to sales@vgoodiez.com for support.
How Seel processes claims:
- Reorders: Seel covers the full cost of replacing your items, including shipping and taxes, as long as the items are in stock.
- Refunds: Seel covers the order subtotal. Shipping costs, taxes, and the Seel premium are not included.
When to file a Seel claim:
- Stolen (Marked Delivered): File between 5 and 15 calendar days after delivery. A police report is sometimes required.
- Lost (Stuck in Transit): Domestic claims can be filed 2 to 30 days from the last tracking update. International claims require waiting 20 to 30 days. All lost claims must be filed within 60 days of the order date.
- Damaged: File within 15 calendar days of delivery. Photos of the item and packaging are required.
Returned to Sender
If a package is returned to us, we will email you to confirm your address details.
- Customer Error: If the address provided at checkout was inaccurate, you must pay the invoice for outbound shipping before we reship the order.
- Our Error: We will reship the package for free and refund your original shipping cost.
- No Response: After 3 contact attempts and 1 week of no response, we will refund the items minus a 10% restocking fee. Shipping costs and Seel protection are nonrefundable. For orders with free shipping, the exact cost we paid for the label will be deducted from your refund.
International Shipping
- Taxes and Duties: Buyers are responsible for all import taxes and duties. We will not alter item descriptions or values to reduce tax.
- Carriers: UPS almost always charges brokerage fees (usually $15 to $20) on top of taxes. USPS often avoids these extra fees.
- Refused Packages: If you refuse a shipment to avoid paying import fees, your refund will only be processed after the item returns to us, and shipping fees will not be refunded.
- Warranty: International buyers must manage warranties directly with the manufacturer and are responsible for all associated shipping costs.
Taxes and Age Verification
- You must be of legal age to order. Please do not waste our time or money if you are underage.
- We collect sales tax for Georgia. Customers outside of Georgia are responsible for understanding and paying their own state taxes, including any local excise taxes.
Free Gifts
- Promotional Only: Gifts are only available during eligible time periods and cannot be added retroactively to shipped orders.
- Forgotten Gifts: If you forgot to add an eligible gift to your purchase, we can still send it, but you will need to cover the shipping cost.
- No Swaps: Free gifts are as is. You cannot trade them for different items, order discounts, or cash.
- Returns: If you return your main purchase, you must also return the free gift. If you keep it, its value will be deducted from your refund.
