About the Tempest 2
Created by MAD Heaters, the Tempest 2 is a non-electronic, torch or induction heater powered micro ball vaporizer, also known as a stem vaporizer. The Tempest 2 uses a thermal core filled with zirconia balls for incredible flavor and convection heavy heating for a full extraction in a single heat-up. Featuring an adjustable bowl that provides users with the option of loading around 0.1g, 0.15g, or 0.2g , an adjustable air port, 10mm, 14mm, and 18mm WPA compatibility, and changeable balls for different heat retention and extraction properties, the Tempest 2 is an incredibly versatile portable vaporizer with a performance that can be customized to suit any vaporizer enthusiast. The Tempest 2 is made from Grade 5 titanium with the exception of the anodized aluminum heat shield, stainless steel induction sleeve, and induction housing. If you prefer, we do, however, have units that are full Ti available for a slightly higher price. The stem is incredibly easy to clean and overall, the Tempest 2 is easy to use, featuring visual and audible heat indicators and compatibility with the iSpure Wand and YLL 3.0 for induction heating.
What’s new with the Tempest 2?
The Tempest 2 head now features an increased bowl size with a new screen that can be set to 3 different positions, has a thicker induction sleeve for an improved torch experience and better heat retention, has enhanced heat distribution for more thorough full-bowl extractions, a twist-to-lock ball screen, easier indicator assembly, and a greed visual indicator pointer on all of the caps.

How to use the Tempest 2
Before use, disassemble the Tempest 2 and clean the components with isopropyl alcohol. (Note: please wipe the head assembly clean. Do not soak it as this can corrode internal components. Dry thoroughly.)
Reassemble the device and perform a burn off by heating the cap, while empty, until you hear the click. Allow it to cool and repeat 2-3 times to ensure any residues from cleaning or manufacturing have been burnt off.
Adjust the chamber size to your preference. We recommend starting with the small or medium chamber settings for the most even extraction.
Unscrew the cap and load your material without packing too tightly so that air can flow properly through your material. Screw the cap back on gently.
Adjust the airflow to your preference. You can adjust the air ports on the head and the stem to customize your draw resistance.
If using a torch, use a medium single or dual flam torch and hold the tip of the flame a little less than half an inch away from the cap while slowly rotating the device. Watch the visual indicator and listen for the click that indicates that it’s ready to use.
If using an induction heater, place the Tempest 2 into the induction heater set your temperature around 550 degrees Fahrenheit as a baseline (adjust as needed), insert the tip, and allow the heater to run until the heating cycle finishes.
Take a strong steady draw and use the stem’s carb hole to clear the vapor.
Important information about the Tempest 2
Some Wand induction heaters may have an opening too narrow to be compatible with the Tempest 2. Ensure your Wand has an opening of at least 14.0 mm. If necessary, use glass sanding paper to carefully widen it. If there is no wiggle room, do not attempt to use it, as the glass may break during heating.
*** IMPORTANT: When cleaning head assembly, it must be dried completely afterwards before re-assembling. Soaking the head assembly and letting it air dry can corrode the components of the head assembly. These cannot be warrantied or returned if they are corroded.
