The Storz & Bickel Volcano Hybrid is easy to use. Plug in the vaporizer and press the heat button. Set your preferred temperature using the plus and minus buttons. Grind your material to a medium grind, open the filling chamber, and load material into the orange housing making sure that it is level but still loose. Twist the filled chamber onto the top of the Volcano. For balloons, remove the black mouthpiece, attach the balloon connector to the top of the heating chamber and press the air button. Allow the bag to fill until it is firm or until you have your preferred amount of vapor. Turn off the air, remove the balloon and attach the mouthpiece and use the mouthpiece to inhale. For use with the whip, connect the orange tube connector to the loaded chamber. Inhale directly through the tube without turning the fan on. If you need breaks between draws, remove the chamber from the unit to prevent over heating the material.

Cleaning the Volcano Hybrid is easy. Ensure the vaporizer is off and cool and disassemble the device by removing the filling chamber, o-rings, and screens. Metal parts such as the filling chamber parts and screens can be soaked in isopropyl alcohol for around 30 minutes and should be rinsed thoroughly with water afterwards. Silicone or plastic parts like the plastic caps and silicone o-rings should not be cleaned with alcohol. Instead, wash these using warm water and a bit of dish soap and rinse thoroughly. Wipe the exterior of the base with a dry or slightly damp cloth, replace the air filter if needed, and turn the vaporizer upside down and use a soft brush to remove any debris. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling, and run a burn off cycle to evaporate any remaining alcohol residue.

Using the whip or balloons with the Volcano Hybrid depends entirely on user preferences. Balloons are best for convenience and sharing as they can be removed from the vaporizer. The balloons also offer cooler vapor, as the vapor is able to cool down in the balloon. You can enjoy more leisurely draws and set the balloons aside for up to 10 minutes if needed. The whip allows for immediate use and more intense flavor, and offers the option for smaller on-demand doses where you can take draws without needing a full bag of vapor.

The Storz & Bickel app is not available as a native app in the apple store due to restrictions on vaping products. Instead, Storz and Bickel offer a solution for Iphone users via a web-based app that works through specific bluetooth-enabled browsers.
