This Gives the Proxy a Silicone Mouthpiece, and a Hard Adonized Aluminum Cup that's much easier on the go, especially in areas Glass could be broken.  The size difference really does make the Proxy easily pocketable, comparable to most modern wireless earbud cases in size maybe a tad bigger.

Do I need to own a Puffco Proxy to purchase the Proxy Core?
Yes, the Proxy Core is an attachment for the NEW Puffco Proxy. You must own a proxy to use this attachment.
How is the Proxy Core different from the original Puffco Proxy?
The Proxy Core is an attachment for the Proxy base which allows the Proxy to be more portable and durable than before. The Proxy Core places the traditional, more fragile glass pipe with a compact anodized aluminum cup and a silicone mouthpiece. This helps prevent accidental damage while on the go, and makes the Proxy much more pocket friendly.
What is included with the Proxy Core?
The Proxy Core includes the adonized aluminum cap, silicone mouthpiece, and 3 terp pearls. The Puffco Proxy is not included and must be purchased separately.
Does the Puffco Proxy Core work with the Proxy V1?
No. The Proxy Core is only compatible with the New Proxy.
