I purchased my Fury 3 directly from Healthy Rips, but the HR website does not allow reviews, so I am sharing my experience here.
I was looking for a battery-powered portable that is palm and shirt-pocket size, light weight and capable of delivering big visible vapor clouds. The Fury 3 fits the bill. The air path is nicely open and gives an easy draw even with dosing capsules. (The Fury 3 dosing capsules are excellent quality and work well.)
The one problem with my Fury 3 is that it doesn't reliably retain my settings. I like to run it at 400 deg. F. to get the big vapor production I like, but the vape often resets the temp to the factory default of 356 deg. F. (Changes to the session timer are also lost when this happens.) I found this annoying, so I contacted Healthy Rips to inform them and ask whether there is a simple fix, or whether I need to exchange the vape for one that can retain my settings. The response from Healthy Rips was not what I expected.
They said this can happen when the device is charged for 2 hours or more. (Not my experience.) They also said that not using the USB charging cable they provide or using an improper charger could cause the problem. (It occurs with their cable and others, and with the recommended 5V/2A charger.) The fact is that the resets have nothing to do with charging. They do not usually happen right after charging, but they can and do happen multiple times in between charges. All that's needed is to turn the vape off and back on again. This leaves the one other explanation from Healthy Rips, which is most telling. They said that any one of "numerous battery protections" could be accidentally triggered and cause a reset, which "is completely normal." (In other words, there is no warranty protection for this issue.)
The resets happen around 50% of the time when the device is turned on, but you can hold the Up button down to shorten resetting the temp to a few seconds. I like the Fury 3 enough that I decided this issue is not a deal breaker for me, but I think potential buyers should be told that random resets may be "completely normal" and not a warranty issue.
