Quick Start Guide

  • Power On: Press the Power button on the unit or the Remote.
  • Set Temp: Use the Up/Down buttons. For most sessions, 390°F (199°C) is the sweet spot.
  • Heat Soaking: Once the unit hits the target temp, wait 3–5 minutes before your first hit. This primes the glass Connoisseur Bowl so the herb vaporizes evenly.
  • Loading: Use the Cloud Side (large capacity) for big clouds or the Flavor Side (small capacity) for micro-dosing.

Operating Modes

Mode Attachment How to Use
Whip Mode 3ft Silicone Tubing Attach the Whip to the glass elbow. Inhale slowly. Use Fan Speed 1 for an assisted draw.
Balloon Mode Glass Connector + Bag Attach the balloon. Turn Fan to Speed 3. Once full, swap the glass for the silicone cap.
Aromatherapy Glass Potpourri Dish Fill with lavender or orange peels. Set temp to 212°F (100°C) to scent a room.

Technical Specifications

  • Heating System: Isolated Ceramic Convection Heater.
  • Temperature Range: 122°F – 500°F (50°C – 260°C).
  • Power Input: 110-240V (Universal Voltage).
  • Fan Speeds: 3 Levels (Low, Medium, High).
  • Display: Custom High-Contrast LCD.
  • Dynamic Lights: 8 color modes (plus Spectrum Mode and Status Mode which changes color as it heats).

Remote Control Shortcuts

  • Preset Temps: Dedicated buttons for 3 customizable temperatures.
  • Fan Control: 0, 1, 2, 3 buttons for instant speed changes.
  • LED Toggle: Change the base lighting color without entering the menu.
  • Timer: Set an auto-shutoff timer (0.5 to 2 hours) for safety.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Daily: Empty the bowl while warm using the metal stir tool or cleaning brush. This prevents reclaim from sticking to the glass.

Weekly Deep Clean
  1. Soak: Place all glass parts (Bowl, Elbows, Mouthpieces) in 99% Isopropyl Alcohol for 30 minutes.
  2. Rinse: Rinse with hot water and dry completely.
  3. Whip: Replace the silicone tubing every 2–3 months if it becomes discolored or retains a stale taste.
  4. Air Filter: Check the base filter. If it looks grey/clogged, replace it to maintain airflow.

Troubleshooting (Light and Error Codes)

If your unit displays an error, check these specific codes:

  • Error 1–5, 7–9: Internal wiring or circuitry issue. Try a different wall outlet directly (bypass power strips).
  • Error 6 and 10: Overheating. Unplug the unit immediately and let it cool for 30 minutes.
  • Error 11: Power Supply failure. Check that the cord into the brick is pushed in fully.
  • Flashing Blue Light: The unit is cooling down.
  • Flashing Red Light: The unit is currently heating to your set temperature.

Warranty Protection Plan

The Arizer XQ2 is known for its durability, backed by a multi-tier warranty that protects your investment. Here is the breakdown of the current coverage:

The Three-Tier Protection Plan
  • 3-Year Limited Warranty (Electronics & Build): This covers the brains and body of your unit. If the internal circuitry, the LCD screen, or the 3-speed fan mechanism fails due to a manufacturing defect within the first three years, Arizer will repair or replace the unit.
  • Lifetime Warranty (Ceramic Heating Element): The heart of the XQ2—the ceramic convection heater—is protected for the life of the device. If the core heater stops working, you are covered by a lifetime guarantee.
  • Glass & Accessories (Excluded): It is important to note that glass components carry no warranty. Because glass is prone to accidental drops or thermal shock from improper cleaning, the following parts are not covered:
    • Connoisseur Bowls
    • Glass Elbows & Mouthpieces
    • Aromatherapy Dishes

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Q. Why is the vapor thin even though the unit says it’s at temperature?

A. The XQ2’s internal sensor reaches your set temperature (390F) in about 90 seconds, but the glass Connoisseur Bowl is still cold. You must Heat Soak. Once the XQ2 reaches the target temperature, wait an additional 3 to 5 minutes with the herb-filled bowl sitting on the heater before taking your first draw. This ensures the convection air stays hot as it passes through the glass.

Q. What do the different Dynamic Mode LED colors mean?

A. The XQ2 uses a Status Lighting system to communicate without you needing to read the screen from across the room.

  • Yellow to Orange Pulse: The unit is currently heating up.
  • Two Green Blinks: The unit has officially reached your set temperature.
  • Solid Orange Pulse: The temperature is stable and the unit is ready for use.
  • Purple Pulse: The 3-speed fan is currently active (Whip-assist or Balloon-fill).
  • Cyan Pulse: The unit is in cooling mode.
  • Blue Pulse: The unit is cooling down with the fan active to speed up the process.
Q. When should I use the Cloud Side vs. the Flavor Side of the bowl?

A. Cloud Side (Large Capacity): The glass screen is further from the heater. This allows for more herb (0.5g+) and is ideal for long sessions, Balloon Mode, or sharing with a group. Flavor Side (Small Capacity): The glass screen is closer to the heater. This is designed for micro-dosing (0.1g–0.2g) and provides immediate, potent extraction and terpene-rich flavor.

Q. How often should I change the air filter and balloons?
  • Air Intake Filter: Check the white filter at the bottom of the base every 2–3 months. If it appears grey or dusty, replace it to prevent the motor from overworking and to ensure clean vapor.
  • Balloons: Bags should be replaced when they become crinkly, loud, or sticky on the inside (usually after 1-2 months of regular use).
  • Pro Tip: You can use 3rd-party food-grade oven bags or turkey bags as a cost-effective alternative to official Arizer replacements.
Q. Can I use the Arizer XQ2 for dabs or concentrates?

A. The XQ2 is a dry herb convection vaporizer, but it can handle extracts with a technique called the Sandwich Method. Do not put wax or oil directly on the glass screen, as it will melt down into the ceramic heater and cause permanent damage. Instead, place a layer of herb, a small crumb of concentrate, and another layer of herb on top. Rayon Fiber found here is another option. For concentrates, users typically find better results at the higher end of the spectrum, around 440°F–480°F (226°C–248°C).
