YLL is back with a new induction heater for the Tempest 2, Dani, and other hard hitting portables. The YLL 3.0 Induction heater has variable wattage, a sleek display, and fits in the palm of your hand. Are you confused on how to use the YLL 3.0? Installing Batteries in the YLL induction heater

It is extremely important to install high quality batteries in your 3.0 heater. The VGoodiEZ team recommends installing Molicel 21700 P50B 5000mAh 60A batteries. To install batteries in your device, flip it over. After flipping it over, pop off the battery cover and place the batteries in according to the +/- symbols.

Powering on the YLL 3.0

To power on the YLL 3.0 click the power button 3 times in quick succession. YLL states that the 3 clicks should be done within 2 seconds.

Timer Adjustment

Timer adjustment for this induction heater is incredibly easy. Just click the '+' or '-' button to set the timer. The range is 10–60 seconds.

Power Adjustment

To adjust the power of the YLL 3.0 double click the power button to enter power setting mode. Once in the power setting mode, click the '+' or '-' button to select your desired power level. The range is 30W–100W.

Ceramic Insert Adjustment

There is an adjustable ceramic insert for this induction heater. Use your heated device (ex. Tempest 2) to press the insert deeper into the glass tube if necessary. This adjustment allows you to just set the device into the glass tube and let it heat, without needing to hold it in place or have it hover in the perfect spot.

Additional Adjustments

To rotate the screen 180° click the '+' button and power button at the same time. To turn the coil chamber light on or off click the '-' button and power button at the same time.

Recommended Settings for Tempest 2

The YLL3.0 induction heater is extremely popular for the Tempest 2 by Madheaters. These are our shop's recommended settings. Please keep in mind, this is with the stock balls included in the Tempest 2. Remember, the Tempest 2 will click when it's ready!

Set the ceramic insert so that only the top of the Tempest head’s vertical slits are just visible.

Flavor Chasing:

• 65w Power Setting
• 35-40s Timer Setting

Heavy Hits:

• 80w Power Setting
• 30-35s Timer Setting
  

Pro Tip for using the Tempest 2 with the YLL 3.0:

You can judge the flavor / hit based on the indicator marks of the Tempest 2 Head. The first mark is for flavor chasers, the 2nd mark is the sweet spot, and the last mark is for heavy hitters. If you're looking for full extraction, that's the mark you're trying to hit. We've included an image below to help explain.
