Buy Dr. Dabber Switch Go - The King of Cold Starts

Switch GO E-rig Review
The new Dr. Dabber SwitchGO is a portable powerhouse for concentrate enthusiasts. Smaller than the Switch2, it provides the same easy to use technology at a much more portable size. It’s quickly become my favorite E-rig, and I’ve been testing it extensively over the last few weeks. It can handle everything from micro-doses to large dabs without an issue. I call it the King of Cold starts, because I prefer to load it before starting my sesh.

Vapor Quality
Not only does the Switch GO produce huge clouds, but it is also flavorful and dense vapor. At higher temps and longer run times it can be a little bit dry, but that's to be expected when you're taking massive rips out of a device with a small bubbler. At low temps the device really shines and the flavor is top notch. The flavor doesn't seem to be impacted by the water at all, and the water diffusion is just enough that it makes it a very comfortable session.
Heat Up Time
Thanks to the Dual Parallel Heating, the heat up time of the Dr. Dabber Switch GO is very fast. From room temperature the heat up time to 480F is about 20 seconds. You can go from turning the device on to having a quick session in less than 30 seconds.
Chamber Size
The Switch GO Erig chamber is large enough to handle most sessions. With a 12mm diameter, and 20mm depth the quartz insert is large enough to handle most sessions unless you're dropping a half gram of material in the bucket at a time. It works incredibly well for microdose sessions, and normal sessions. I prefer a session with material about the size of a grain of rice. I've done pea sized amounts as well without an issue.
Carb Cap Improvements
The new SwitchGO Carb cap is a huge improvement! The Switch2 has a glass carb cap, that is supposed to be a joystick style carb cap. The New Switch Go carb cap has a larger thumbstick, better directional control, and moves around with ease! This is a huge upgrade to me, and honestly I hope that Dr. Dabber makes the new carb cap for the Switch 2 as well.
Battery Life
With any Dual Parallel Heating based unit battery life can be one of the toughest things to get right. The SwitchGO battery life is fantastic though. If you're like me and do small sessions, use a 30 second timer, and low temps you can expect 20-25 sessions out of a single charge. If you have the device set to a 60 second timer, or longer, the battery life drops off a bit. With 480F for 60 seconds we were seeing about 8-10 sessions per charge. That's still great, especially for a device that uses Dual Parallel Heating! I was thoroughly impressed by the battery life, and when I hang out with people that like to take longer sessions I'll be carrying around an external battery bank. They're so small and portable nowadays that it is a no brainer.
USB-C Charging
We all love USB-C charging. The Dr Dabber Switch GO comes with a USB-C cable in the box. You will need a power brick or external battery to charge your Switch GO.
Simple Controls
The SwitchGO features 3 buttons on the front of the device. This leads to really quick and easy sessions. With 5 preloaded customizable session presets, you can select the preset with the +/- buttons. The light under the bubbler will change to show you the preset selection. Turning the device on is easy too. Just hold down the top button for 3 seconds. Once you have the preset you want loaded, just tap that top button once to start the device. It will buzz and the bubbler will light up green when it's ready to hit.
Web App
The Dr Dabber web app pairs perfectly with the Dr. Dabber SwitchGO. It's quick to set up, has a ton of customizable features, and even gives you stats on your favorite ways to use your SwitchGO. The web app works with the Switch2 as well! Just swipe the screen to toggle between Switch 2 and Switch GO. There are a couple features I'd love to see added to the app, including the ability to share custom presets with friends, but all in all it is an extremely smooth experience.
The web app will automatically update your firmware when you connect to your Switch GO. I've accidentally turned my SwitchGO off while updating the firmware. If you do that, reset your Switch GO by turning on the device, clicking the top button 8 times. On the 8th click, hold down the button until the Switch Go resets. This will allow you to reconnect to the app to complete the firmware update again.
Build Quality
The Switch GO is a tough device. The outer metal shell feels great in your hand and is extremely durable. The bubbler is now more protected by the device shell, and even though I've tipped mine over a handful of times I have not damaged or scratched my SwitchGO at all. I don't think you could break the glass bubbler unless you drop it right on the glass itself. The mouthpiece extends about an inch above the rest of the unit, so if you drop it top down it will likely break. Luckily the replacement SwitchGO bubbler glass is fairly inexpensive! I cannot wait to see all of the custom glass bubblers and carb caps that glassblowers will come up with.
Who should Buy the SwitchGO?
Do you prefer concentrates on the go? The SwitchGO allows you to sesh anywhere. It's not quite a pocket portable, that's what the Dr Dabber Ghost2 is for, but it will fit in a purse or small backpack. The Dr Dabber Tour Bag fits the Switch GO perfectly. I like to carry mine when I play Disc Golf, it fits perfectly in the side pocket of my disc golf bag.
Do you like saving money? Grab the Switch GO. It's cheaper than the Switch2, and doesn't have atomizers that break over time. It's a huge money saver in that aspect. With over 500 sessions on the shop SwitchGO we have had 0 issues and because there is not an atomizer, we have saved quite a bit of money on replacement parts.
Do you like quick, flavorful, on demand vapor? Grab the SwitchGO.

Using the Dr Dabber Switch GO with the app
My Dr. Dabber Switch Go has an insane amount of customization using the Dr. Dabber Switch App. I absolutely love it. It took my Dr. Dabber SwitchGO from being a really fun, heavy hitting device to being my #1 ERig overnight.
Normally, I avoid any apps with my devices. Stick to the stock settings, if I can’t change them on the device itself I don’t mess with it. The Dr. Dabber Switch GO App is so easy to set up, gives me all of the stats I want to know about my device, and can be fine tuned for the perfect session.
Connecting to the Dr Dabber Switch GO App
Turn your Dr Dabber Switch GO on Open the App, with Bluetooth on Swipe to the left to access The Switch GO Press Launch Press the device you want to connect to This is when it may prompt you for a Firmware update. Once the firmware update starts, do not disconnect the Switch from the app. Leave the app open, go and grab a glass of water for your sesh, and by the time you’re back it will be done and the app will be open. Name the Device, or use the Recommended names from Dr. Dabber to quickly choose a name Press Next a couple of times to skip the intro content, or you can learn quite a bit straight from Dr Dabber. This is a one time feature, after you go through this once it won’t pop up automatically anymore. From here, you can change your active preset, and start the device.

Tracking Your Usage Stats
Dr Dabber gives a plethora of stats for the Switch 2 and Switch Go. To access them, click the bar graph in the top right corner of the app. You will be able to track your favorite temp, the total number of sessions, the most sessions per day stat, how many full battery cycles you’ve done, your favorite heating mode, your favorite lighting mode, total session time and favorite session length. Just note that only full sessions (where the device automatically ends the heating cycle) will count towards your session stats. If you end the heating cycle early by pressing the fire button, no stats will be saved for that session. Your stats will automatically update every time you open the app with the Switch Go connected. This does mean that if you go a week without connecting to the app, the entire week will be condensed into a ‘day’ of sessions. You can see one of the shop Switch Go’s has ‘124 sessions’ as our top daily session counter. We went for a couple days without connecting to the app.

The Lighting modes are interesting, and a fun party feature. Personally I use the Northern lights at 75% brightness. The other shop Switch Go is set to Vegas nights at 75% brightness.

Charging Your Dr. Dabber Switch Go
When you first get your Switch it will come precharged to 60-70% battery. Before using it, I’d highly recommend charging it to 100% first. This will ensure that the battery lasts a very long time. I like to charge my Switch when it hits 30% battery life, and I unplug it immediately after it hits 100%. If I know I’m going to put the Switch on a shelf for a week or two, I’ll charge it to 80% for storage and then charge back to 100% when I go to sesh.
The Switch Go features pass through charging, so you can use it while it’s plugged in. Charging the SwitchGO is super simple. Take the included USB-C cable, plug it into the device, and plug the other end into your favorite charging brick. Most of the time, we use portable battery chargers at the shop. The front of the Switch Go has 3 indicator lights to show you when it’s fully charged, you can also see the exact charge in the App.
The battery life is great on the Dr. Dabber Switch Go.

How to Clean The Dr Dabber SwitchGO
Keeping your Dr Dabber Switch Go clean
Keeping your Dr Dabber Switch Go clean is really important. It helps with performance, battery life, and flavor. I recommend a quick Qtip after each session, clear out the quartz insert and have a quick and easy clean up. Once a day, dump out the water in the bubbler and wash it out with some iso. If you’re a heavy user, I would really recommend using a terp wipe on the insert after every session.
For weekly maintenance this is my step by step list to keep the SwitchGO operating at 100%
Taking the Dr Dabber Switch Go apart for cleaning:
Remove the bubbler by pulling up on it, set it aside on your VGoodiEZ Moodmat. Remove the Carb Cap. Remove the Aluminum Shroud to get access to the Quartz Insert. Use your VGoodiEZ Tweezers to remove the Quartz or optional Sapphire Insert. Now you have access to everything you need to clean.
Pro Tip: The SwitchGO App has a built in cleaning assist. Click the settings wheel in the top right, then click the cleaning assist button. This heats the insert to 200F for 30 seconds. Even if your insert is extremely dirty this cleans up any residuals and makes the insert extremely easy to pull out. Caution: 200F is pretty hot. Use your VGoodiEZ tweezers to remove the insert.
Cleaning the Bubbler:
Put 91% ISO in the bubbler, fill it to the same height you would fill the unit with water Give it a shake, if there is a lot of residue I recommend adding fine salt before shaking Dump out ISO Put distilled water in the bubbler, distilled water usually means there will not be any water stains afterwards. You can pick it up locally for $1.50 a gallon Shake, and empty out the bubbler Take a Terp wipe, and clean the mouthpiece as well as the intake hole on the bubbler Dry with a Glob Mop or QTip Let air Dry
Cleaning the Quartz or Sapphire insert:
Take a Terp Wipe, or Glob mop dipped in iso and scrub the insert. Rinse with distilled water and let air dry. If the insert is very dirty, you may need to repeat steps one and two a few times. Don't forget to do a burn off after reassembling the SwitchGo!
Cleaning the heater
With the insert removed hold the unit upside down. Take a Glob mop or Qtip dipped in 91% Iso and scrub the heater on the SwitchGO. The heater is protected by titanium. Take a Glob mop with ISO and gently clean the vaporpath hole from the back, where the bubbler sits. Send a dry Glob mop through the hole to dry and then let air dry.
Cleaning the Carb Cap
To clean the Dr Dabber SwitchGO Carb cap I’d really recommend Terp wipes. Take a terp wipe, and wipe off external residue and let air dry.
Tips for easier maintenance:
Keeping your Dr Dabber SwitchGO clean helps reduce the amount of deep cleans you have to do, preserves flavor, and honestly helps the battery work less to maintain optimal temperatures. Empty out the bubbler water regularly, Clean with ISO weekly. Use a Glob Mop after every session to clean out the insert. Wipe Down the mouthpiece on the bubbler and the carb cap with a Terp Wipe after every session.
